Christina ValladaresCrossFit Kids Coach

Christina Valladares is a certified Level 1 CrossFit Trainer as well as CrossFit Kids Certified. She developed the Yankee CrossFit Pre-School Program in 2014. Christina grew up in Meriden, CT, where she swam competitively all four years of high school. After high school in 2004, she attended Plymouth State University in NH where she swam competitively while perusing her degree in education. After many conversations with a special education professor, she decided to take her career path in education specializing in Special Education. She graduated in 2008 with her Bachelors in Elementary Education and Special Education.

In 2009, Christina moved back to CT to work as an associate instructor for the River Street School for Autism and, one year later, became part of the community at Yankee CrossFit. She immediately was hooked and loved being part of such a great atmosphere. At the same time, Christina became part of the Meriden Public School System as a Special Education Teacher. In 2012, she attended the University of Saint Joseph where she received her Masters Degree in Special Education.

Christina received her certification in educational leadership in 2016 and hopes to write curriculum for autism programs or become an administrator in a school one day! Currently, she is the head teacher in the Washington Middle School Autism program. With an incredible passion for teaching children with special needs, this is shown in her coaching of her preschool classes, kids classes and pre-teen classes at Yankee. Christina feels that her journey is just beginning in education and coaching children CrossFit and is excited to see what is yet to come.
