Marc Lamberty
Director/Coach, Business Manager
Marc was first introduced to CrossFit in March, 2006, by a colleague at work. Marc's initial reaction to CrossFit was, "There's no way I can do this. Those workouts are crazy!" After a couple of months of following CrossFit.com, he decided to give his first WOD a try, Filthy Fifty. Not being able to finish, and seeing the looks from other gym goers that evening, Marc knew CrossFit was the way to go. Without any clear coaching, he continued to dabble with the WODs he was comfortable with, and when the opportunity to join a real CrossFit gym was presented in October, 2008, Marc joined right away. Weighing in at 205 lbs on a 5'8" frame, he realized he's was becoming what he swore he'd never be...a fat cop. By focusing on his diet and exercise, Marc lost 35 pounds in 6 months and has kept it off for over 3 years. In addition, he's stronger and fitter than he was when he was at 20...he's 41 now. Marc is far from the fire breather that Brendan is, but occasionally his name will be near the top of the YCF leader board.
