Step 1: Attend a Free Class!
At Yankee CrossFit, we offer one free intro session to any prospective student. This class will give you a better understanding of who we are, what we do and gives you a chance to see what a CrossFit class is like. The initial consultation is also a chance for one of our trainers to do a functional movement assessment on you, to determine any muscle imbalances or limitations you may have. Our coaches can then use this information to help prescribe the best program for you. The free class is set by appointment only, and we will try to make it for a time that is convenient for you. We ask that you bring a water bottle and wear workout clothes.
Step 2: Take Our On-Ramp Classes
Following the free session, each person is required to complete our On-Ramp Classes. This program is designed for people new to CrossFit, regardless of one’s previous athletic background. While teaching is the main goal, you are still guaranteed to leave each session with a great workout. You will learn how to move safely and efficiently, get your body comfortable with all the basic CrossFit skills and exercises and also build up to a level of conditioning appropriate for the full scale classes. There is no level of fitness or background in exercise required to get started, this class is FOR EVERYONE! After successful completion of the On-ramp, members will then be eligible to join the normal group classes, and let their real fitness journey begin!
Step 3: Sign Up For Our Regular Group Classes
Following completion of the On-Ramp classes you may choose a membership option of your choice and come to any class offered on our schedule. The workouts will still be scaled to your individual ability but you will be able to participate in the regular classes. On-Ramp will provide you with the confidence you need to be able to come into classes.
