Classes
CrossFit
The CrossFit program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, many sports, and life reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist.
The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters one month out from televised bouts. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs.
YCF Conditioning
This course is a less intense version of the regular CrossFit Class. Workouts may include rowing, running, box jumps, bodyweight exercises, calisthenics, kettlebells, and more! Each workout has a scaling option to match your current fitness level. YCF Conditioning will guarantee to challenge you and improve your fitness. The class is designed to give you a total body workout based on functional movements. All we ask is a positive attitude and commitment to work hard. The group setting will assist you in reaching your goals faster and you'll develop a camaraderie with other participants unseen at any other gym, health club, or bootcamp. The YCF Conditioning class is scheduled Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9 AM, and there's even a membership option for the YCF Conditioning class only. The classes are structured like a regular CrossFit class and will include a warm-up, skill session, and the WOD. No prior CrossFit experience is required.
On Ramp
The On Ramp course is for new athletes to Yankee CrossFit. The on ramp will prepare you for participation in regular classes and will cover the fundamental movements used CrossFit classes. Form and technique are the focus and the On ramp will prepare you for regular class participation. The on ramp course is two days a week for three weeks. Successful completion of the on ramp is necessary to participate in regular classes.
