Brendan Marolda
Director/Head Coach
Brendan has been a full-time fitness professional for over 5 years. With his initial focus being on personal training, and then progressing to larger group setting that Yankee Crossfit offers, he has never lost that attention to detail that is required when working one on one with an athlete. An honors graduate of NPTI (National Personal Training Institute), he also holds nationally accredited certifications from the NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine), and the NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association). More recently though, he has discovered his training passions and beliefs lie more within the Crossfit model of fitness, focusing on functionality, and ”fitness over broad time and modal domains”, rather than specializing or focusing on pure aesthetics. Since first trying Crossfit in 2008, Brendan has engulfed himself in this incredibly effective, but more importantly, functional, style of training. Brendan competes at an elite level, in what has been dubbed "The Sport of Fitness”. In 2011, he placed 10th in the Reebok CrossFit Games Open, and 27th in Reebok Crossfit Games Northeast Regional, and he finished in 1st place overall in the Again Faster Northeast Garage Games Series.
