About Yankee CrossFit
Yankee CrossFit is a bare bones, no nonsense, athletic training and fitness facility. We don't have mirrors, treadmills with televisions, or weightlifting machines. In fact, the only machines we have are Concept 2 rowing machines. Our workouts are constantly varied, using functional movements executed at a high intensity, and the workouts are competitive events. The difference between Yankee CrossFit and commercial gyms is we are committed to you, the client, in every aspect of fitness. We want to see you achieve your fitness goals and take you beyond. We coach you every time you walk into our door. As our member, you will be guided through a warm-up, a skill lesson/review, and then the Work-Out-of-the-Day (WOD). The WOD is different EVERY TIME you enter. That is part of the excitement and intrigue of the CrossFit Training Method.
Our program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, sports, and life reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist. The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience.
We are located at 504 Main Street, Farmington, CT, in the back of the building.
House Rules
1. Arrive early. Class starts on time. Late arrivals will pay a 20 burpee penalty.
2. Be positive and prepared.
3. Clean your own mess.
4. Chalk...a little goes a long way.
5. Encourage those still working.
6. Coaches coach. Athletes listen and learn.
7. "I can't" shall not be spoken here.
8. Ego...leave it in your car.
9. If you're hurt or injured, speak up.
10. If you cheat, you will repeat.
